Remembering a certain friend from college who used to annoy me so much.. This person ever the optimist, was also considerate, since she would never fail to ask me what was bugging me, whenever I seemed upset.. But I chose not to tell her.. And it would annoy her so much that I'm being so secretive.. And I used to beg this person to "leave me alone".. and she just wouldn't get the concept of "leave me alone".. Today I'm wishing this person was around to ask me what's bugging me.. Actually, she's very much around.. Just that all of us have moved on with our lives.. Everyone's married now, few of us have kids and its just so difficult to be in touch.. We've all moved on, made new friends so even if we did get in touch we wouldn't have much to share since we're all in different 'places' now.. I'm missing all those people today.. we used to have so much of fun.. We had that bond.. That something special which you can never rebuild try as much as you can.. Thank you all you dear people who've been my support system at various points of time in my life.. You're truly appreciated and valued.. And missed...

Happy Birthday Mummy :-)

Today would've been Mummy's 64th birthday had she been here with us.. However like she said, it's always the best people that get called to heaven early on.. So she's celebrating her birthday in heaven along with my brother..  My Mummy was a wonderful woman who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.. a homecooked meal, reading books, stitching, embroidery, knitting and she loved tea and had endless cups of tea in a day..  She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family.. First of all, a very happy Friendship day to all of you.. I think you have read enough quotes and seen enough reels depicting the importance of friends/friendship in our lives so I won't give you any more 'gyan' on the subject.. But the occasion calls for a customary blog post so I decided to pen down a few thoughts.. I've come a long way from being that naive girl who believed that 'Friendship is forever'.. "Friends forever" is something I scoff at now.. that's probably the cynic in me speaking.. But I've also come to realise that people come into your life at the exact point in time when you need them.. A popular channel is telecasting a prog wherein a person is helped, to find out the reason for his/her problems by going into his/her past life through hypnosis. i was told about the concept of the programme by a colleague. even though i hadnt watched the programme just the description of the programme sent shivers down my spine.. although when i actually watched the programme i was bitterly disappointed. the programme was exactly how she described.. the person being taken back into his past to try and locate that particular instant in his life that left a lasting impact on the person.. The plot till here is ok.. but i just dont seem to understand how an incident can have a lasting impact so deep that it penetrates through the future births of the person too.. a little over the top i should say..
