Travelogue..


I know a lot of people who love traveling and exploring new places.. These people ensure they go on regular holidays and put in a lot of effort into planning that 'perfect trip'.. As for me, I'm not much of a travel enthusiast.. Trips for me are usually just an opportunity to spend more time with people and getting to know them better.. I have travelled with different groups of people and I've realised that all these groups have similiar personality types.. So here are some of the 'types' of people I've observed on trips:

The mother:

This is the person who is the 'voice of reasoning' in the group.. These people ensure things don't get out of hand and pull you back just before you decide to do something totally outrageous.. These are also substitutes for alarm clocks.. They will wake you up early in the morning to ensure you don't miss the complementary breakfast at the hotel, push you to have bath and get out of the hotel room quickly to ensure that the trip is spent fruitfully on sightseeing and shopping.. They don't care that you're on vacation.. For them, the routine has to be followed at any cost and at all times.. Also, no trip is successful without these people.. :-)

The 'live wire':
These people are the crazy lot.. They ensure that you're sufficiently engaged throughout the trip.. So this person would've done a thorough research on the places to visit, shop at and eat at.. This person will also have a list of outrageous things to be done on the trip.. This person is usually the reason for the trip to materialise since this person takes care of booking and travel arrangements..

The 'I'm-game-for-anything' person:
This is my favourite kind of person on trips.. This person has absolutely no airs and is game for just about anything you'd want to do on a trip.. That includes just staying indoors and relaxing in the beach facing room at the resort or wandering all over the town exploring places nearby.. This is also the person who will stay up till 3 in the morning listening to you talk your heart out or just play cards with you and allow you to win.. :-)

The Bartender:
This person ensures you're never thirsty on the trip!! That's all I need to say about these type of people.. Lol..

People usually travel with close friends.. Or become close after travelling together.. Like they say you never really know someone unless you have stayed awake with them till 3.00 A.M.. Hope to have many more opportunities to travel with people because that's the best way to get to know people really well.. Signing off with the caption "To travel is to live"!

Today would've been Mummy's 64th birthday had she been here with us.. However like she said, it's always the best people that get called to heaven early on.. Types of friends we all have.. (A friendship day special post)

First of all, a very happy Friendship day to all of you.. I think you have read enough quotes and seen enough reels depicting the importance of friends/friendship in our lives so I won't give you any more 'gyan' on the subject.. But the occasion calls for a customary blog post so I decided to pen down a few thoughts.. I've come a long way from being that naive girl who believed that 'Friendship is forever'.. "Friends forever" is something I scoff at now.. that's probably the cynic in me speaking.. But I've also come to realise that people come into your life at the exact point in time when you need them.. RAAZ PICHLE JANAM KA

A popular channel is telecasting a prog wherein a person is helped, to find out the reason for his/her problems by going into his/her past life through hypnosis. i was told about the concept of the programme by a colleague. even though i hadnt watched the programme just the description of the programme sent shivers down my spine.. although when i actually watched the programme i was bitterly disappointed. the programme was exactly how she described.. the person being taken back into his past to try and locate that particular instant in his life that left a lasting impact on the person.. The plot till here is ok.. but i just dont seem to understand how an incident can have a lasting impact so deep that it penetrates through the future births of the person too.. a little over the top i should say..
