Candle in the wind


I'm yet to come to terms with the untimely demise of a friend, also a colleague.. Fate can be a cruel mistress and she can bring us down to our knees with a single blow..She decided it was time to take Sanjay away from us and so on that fateful 23rd of August 2014 we were all shocked with the news that he'd succumbed to Dengue.. It was just too much to take.. Almost everyone who knew him was just too shocked, most of us not being able to articulate our feelings at his sudden death.. All of us are just hoping that he just gets back in touch and says "Hey,I'm back.. It was just a joke".. But unfortunately, it's no joke.. Sanjay truly has left us and gone to meet his Maker,leaving behind a void that can never be filled..

My aquaintance with Sanjay has been because we've worked at the same office.. I got to know Sanjay through another friend at office.. And at first glance you couldn't help but like him.. He exuded so much confidence and a positive vibe that you always felt good being in his company.. Can never forget his smile.. He always had a cheeky grin and his laugh was always mischievous.. We used to gang up against our common friend and bug her so much, I sometimes wondered if she regretted introducing me to him.. A big SRK fan.. and A good singer.. He was passionate about singing.. He would sing with a lot of enthusiasm and feeling.. I always admired that about him.. Most importantly, he totally epitomised the saying "When life throws lemons at you, you make lemonade".. We all have problems in life, but a very few of us manage to still have a smile on our face through it all.. Sanjay had that quality.. I may not have been close to him as some of my other friends were but the impact he left on my outlook to life is indelible.. I will always remember him especially in testing times and move forward with a positive attitude. .

I pray God to give his family the solace and strength to bear with this great loss.. to all his friends, let us all be comforted in the belief that he is in a better place, watching all of us from up above, with his signature smile.. paraphrasing few lines from the song "Candle in the wind" which was Sir Elton John's dedication to the Late Princess Diana.. Dear Sanjay, you were a candle in the wind.. Your candle burned out long before.. But your legend never will.. Miss you loads.. May your soul rest in peace..

I think you have read enough quotes and seen enough reels depicting the importance of friends/friendship in our lives so I won't give you any more 'gyan' on the subject.. RAAZ PICHLE JANAM KA

A popular channel is telecasting a prog wherein a person is helped, to find out the reason for his/her problems by going into his/her past life through hypnosis. i was told about the concept of the programme by a colleague. even though i hadnt watched the programme just the description of the programme sent shivers down my spine.. although when i actually watched the programme i was bitterly disappointed. the programme was exactly how she described.. the person being taken back into his past to try and locate that particular instant in his life that left a lasting impact on the person..
