One movie i loved and another not so much :)

My first instinct when I saw the promos of Delhi Belly was to give the movie a miss.. But for some reason went to watch it and I was very disappointed, to say the least.. My husband who enjoyed the movie a lot wanted to know what I didnt like about the movie, and he hit the nail on the head when he asked me if it was too vulgar.. Yeah too vulgar for my taste and honestly even though the reviews of the movie say that it depicts how the youth of today are, I beg to differ..

Firstly the serial cussing in the movie is a major turn off.. Every scene in the movie consists of swear words.. Im not sayin I dont swear.. But yeah I have to be really frustrated and the person has to really mean a lot to me, for me to be callin him/her names.. the name calling in the movie is definitely without malice but somehow it feels overdone.. And then the songs.. except for Bhaag D K Bose, none of the other songs are worth listenin to.. Story line too is very unrealistic.. 3 guys next door getting entangled in a mess with a smuggler, seems a little too far fetched.. Of course the movie is good in certain sections and all the actors in the movie have acted well.. But somehow the movie doesnt work for me.. Depicts the youth of today in very bad light.. The youth are definitely ambitious and work hard and party harder.. but this movie only hightlights the shades of grey in the youth today.. like how casually Imran Khan kisses his collegue despite being engaged to his steady girlfriend.. Or how the other actor blackmails the owner of his rented house.. Basically values like loyalty and honesty mean nothin to the youth today is what the movie says.. Of course most of you will disagree with me.. but this is where my opinion differs from the majority.. Next time I'm definitely goin to trust my instincts about watchin/not watchin a movie..

Well Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD) is definitely a worth a watch.. It has everythin a hit movie should have.. good locations, excellent star cast, good music and a realistic storyline.. If u consider the above then this is a perfect movie.. The hot and handsome Hrithik Roshan, the versatile and amazingly talented Farhan Akhtar and the myterious Abhay Deol form the star cast apart from Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin..I loved the movie because it is about friends..I like spending time with my friends and I could so relate to the camaradarie and the teasing that the 3 friends in the movie shared.. of course the songs are lovely and even a song thats supposed to be a fun song namely Senorita has meaningful lyrics that really impressed me like "Chaahat ke do pal bhi mil paaye.. Duniya mein yeh bhi kam hai kya? Do pal ko to aao kho jaaye.. Bhule hum hota gham hai kya..." Amazing lyrics.. the movie celebrates the little moments of life that people tend to take for granted.. the message is to slow down, and take time to enjoy life, so that we never have any regrets.. My mother in law always says that we must enjoy the present moment we are in coz it will never come back.. I now realise why she emphasises on this.. n it is my quest to enjoy each moment as it come.. it takes a lot of maturity though to let go of feelings of pain and sadness and to forgive others faults.. but it is the effort that counts.. n i plan to make the effort kyunki Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara..:)
