Photograph

Came across a few pics of happy times.. As I scrolled through the many pics it took me back to those times where I would laugh my hearty laugh and say outrageous things without second guessing or feeling worried about what other people think about me.. Those were the golden days.. and as I looked through those pics only one thought came to mind.. "happy memories".. 

And then I realized why the photo gallery on our phone is our prized possession and we guard it with our lives.. Ask someone who's lost their phone and they'll tell you their only regret is that they lost all those photos.. Of course, now we have Google pics and iCloud where we can back up all those pics that help us relive those beautiful moments.. 

Though you can never go back to that time, you can reminisce those moments.. That joke to which everyone laughed until their sides hurt, that dinner party you went for where all your cards were getting declined and finally you emptied all your wallets and barely managed to pay the bill with cash, that trip that you can never ever forget because you got to see the real unadulterated crazy side to your friends.. While pics can make you happy some can also make you feel emotional.. Like I can spend hours looking at pics of my daughter.. They always leave me with a smile on my face but they also make me feel a bit wistful and I wish she didn't grow up so soon.. I wish time would stand still.. but life goes on.. kids grow up, friends change, people's priorities change.. But what will always remain are those photographs of happy times spent with people whose memories you'll always treasure.. 

While writing this I'm listening to the song titled "Photograph" by Ed Sheeran.. the lyrics always get to me.. 

We keep this love in a photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing
Hearts are never broken
And time's forever frozen, still

And now I don't get annoyed when I see someone clicking pics endlessly.. I've realized now that photos are priceless because they capture the memory of a time that we can never go back to..

Happy Birthday Mummy :-)

Today would've been Mummy's 64th birthday had she been here with us.. However like she said, it's always the best people that get called to heaven early on.. Types of friends we all have.. (A friendship day special post)

First of all, a very happy Friendship day to all of you.. I think you have read enough quotes and seen enough reels depicting the importance of friends/friendship in our lives so I won't give you any more 'gyan' on the subject.. But the occasion calls for a customary blog post so I decided to pen down a few thoughts.. I've come a long way from being that naive girl who believed that 'Friendship is forever'.. "Friends forever" is something I scoff at now.. that's probably the cynic in me speaking.. RAAZ PICHLE JANAM KA

A popular channel is telecasting a prog wherein a person is helped, to find out the reason for his/her problems by going into his/her past life through hypnosis. i was told about the concept of the programme by a colleague. even though i hadnt watched the programme just the description of the programme sent shivers down my spine.. although when i actually watched the programme i was bitterly disappointed. the programme was exactly how she described.. the person being taken back into his past to try and locate that particular instant in his life that left a lasting impact on the person.. The plot till here is ok.. but i just dont seem to understand how an incident can have a lasting impact so deep that it penetrates through the future births of the person too.. a little over the top i should say..
